USE OF GPS DEVICES

The use of any Global Positioning System (GPS), by a compeitor during compeition is illegal under Rule 4-5-8 . By receiving information, not available to other competitors, the runner is receiving assistance during the race. This includes any GPS that is part of a wrist watch which would otherwise be legal, or any other separate device carried on the person of the competitior during the race.
